666 എന്ന സംഖ്യയും ഒമെനും : ഒരു സിനിമാ അനുഭവം

1976ൽ ഇതേപേരിലിറങ്ങിയ സിനിമയുടെ റിമേക്കാണ് 2006ൽ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ The Omen. സാത്താൻ ബാധയേറ്റ കുട്ടിയുടെ കഥയാണ് ഒമെൻ.

കഥയിങ്ങനെ ഇറ്റലിയിൽ നിലയുറപ്പിച്ച അമേരിക്കൻ നയതന്ത്രജ്ഞനായ റോബർട്ട് തോൺ (ലീവ് ഷ്രൈബർ),  അബോധാവസ്ഥയിൽ കിടക്കുന്ന ഭാര്യ കാതറിൻ (ജൂലിയ സ്റ്റൈൽസ്) തങ്ങൾക്ക് ഒരു  മകൻ ജനിച്ചതായി പറയുന്നു

ആ കള്ളം മറച്ചു വയ്ക്കാൻ റോബർട്ട് അനാഥനായ ഒരു നവജാതശിശുവിനെ ദത്തെടുക്കുന്നു. ഡാമിയൻ (സീമസ് ഡേവി-ഫിറ്റ്‌സ്‌പാട്രിക്), റോബർട്ടും കാതറിനും കുട്ടിയെ വളർത്തുന്നു. അടുത്ത അഞ്ച് വർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ റോബർട്ടിന്റെ കരിയർ ഉയരുന്നു. യുണൈറ്റഡ് കിംഗ്ഡത്തിലെ സെന്റ് ജെയിംസ് കോടതിയിലെ ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി അംബാസഡറായി അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. 

മുൻ അംബാസഡറുടെ മരണത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് റോബർട്ട് തന്റെ സ്ഥാനം ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് ലണ്ടന് പുറത്തുള്ള ഒരു വലിയ എസ്റ്റേറ്റിൽ താമസിക്കുന്നു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, ജന്മദിനാഘോഷത്തിൽ ഡാമിയന്റെ നാനിയുടെ ആത്മഹത്യ ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള അസ്വസ്ഥജനകമായ സംഭവങ്ങൾ ആരംഭിക്കുന്നു.

ഫോട്ടോഗ്രാഫർ കീത്ത് ജെന്നിംഗ്സ് (ഡേവിഡ് തെവ്‌ലിസ്) അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ നിരവധി ഫോട്ടോകളിൽ ആളുകളുടെ മരണത്തെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള മുൻകരുതലുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെ നിഗൂഡമായ ശകുനങ്ങൾ അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നതായി കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു. ഒരു ചാപ്പലിന് സമീപം ഡാമിയൻ കാതറിനെ ആക്രമിച്ച സംഭവത്തെത്തുടർന്ന്, അവൾ തന്റെ മകനെക്കുറിച്ച്  വിചിത്രമായ  സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ അനുഭവിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങുന്നു.

ഡാമിയൻ മരിക്കേണ്ടതാണെന്നും മെഗിഡോയിൽ സ്ഥിതിചെയ്യുന്ന ബുഗൻഹേഗൻ (മൈക്കൽ ഗാംബൺ) എന്ന വ്യക്തിക്ക് സഹായിക്കാമെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വിശദീകരിക്കുന്നു. താൻ ഗർഭിണിയാണെന്നു കാതറിൻ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു.  ഡാമിയൻ ഒരു അപകടത്തിന് കാരണമാകുന്നു, അതിൽ കാതറിൻ ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേൽക്കുകയും ഗർഭം അലസുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

ആശുപത്രിയിൽ സുഖം പ്രാപിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഡാമിയൻ തിന്മയാണെന്ന സംശയം കാതറിൻ റോബർട്ടിനോട് പറയുന്നു. റോബർട്ട് ജെന്നിംഗ്സുമായി കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്താനും ഡാമിയന്റെ ജീവശാസ്ത്രപരമായ അമ്മയെ തിരയാനും തീരുമാനിക്കുന്നു. ഡാമിയനെ പ്രസവിച്ച ആശുപത്രി തീപിടിത്തത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് പൊളിച്ചുമാറ്റിയതായി ജോഡി കണ്ടെത്തി.അവിടെ അവർ ഡാമിയന്റെ അമ്മയുടെ ശവക്കുഴി കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു, അടുത്തുള്ള ശവകുടീരത്തിൽ, കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട തന്റെ  മകന്റെ മൃതദേഹം റോബർട്ട് കണ്ടെത്തുന്നു. അദ്ദേഹത്തെയും ജെന്നിംഗ്സിനെയും ഒരു കൂട്ടം നായ്ക്കൾ ആക്രമിക്കുകയും കഷ്ടിച്ച് രക്ഷപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

മൂന്ന്  ("666") ആകൃതിയിലുള്ള ഒരു ജന്മചിഹ്നത്തിനായി ഡാമിയനെ പരിശോധിക്കാൻ ബുഗൻഹേഗൻ റോബർട്ടിനോട് പറയുന്നു. എന്നിരുന്നാലും, റോബർട്ട് തന്റെ മകനെ കൊല്ലാൻ വിസമ്മതിക്കുന്നു. ഡാഗറുകൾ എടുക്കാൻ താഴേയ്‌ക്ക് എത്തുമ്പോൾ, വീഴുന്ന ഒരു അടയാളം കൊണ്ട് ജെന്നിംഗ്സ് പെട്ടെന്ന് ശിരഛേദം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നു.

The Omen, released in 2006, is a remake of the 1976 film of the same name. Omen is the story of a child possessed by Satan.

Robert Thorne (Leave Schreiber), an American diplomat based in Italy, tells his unconscious wife Catherine (Julia Stiles) that they have a son.

To cover up the lie, Robert adopts an orphaned newborn. Damien (Seamus Davy-Fitzspatrick), raising Robert and Katherine. Robert's career is set to rise over the next five years. He was elected Deputy Ambassador to St. James Court in the United Kingdom.

Following the death of the former ambassador, Robert took his place and lived on a large estate outside London. However, at the birthday party, disturbing events begin, including the suicide of Damien's nanny.

Father Brennan (Pete Postlet White) approaches Robert, claiming to be involved in the events surrounding Damien's birth.

Photographer Keith Jennings (David Thevolis) discovers that many of his photos contain mysterious omens, including warnings of death. Following the incident where Damien attacks Katherine near a chapel, she begins to experience strange dreams about her son.

He explains that Damien must die and that he can help a man named Bugenhagen (Michael Gambon) who is located in Megiddo. Catherine finds out she's pregnant. Damien causes an accident in which Catherine is seriously injured and aborted.

While recovering in the hospital, Catherine tells Robert that Damien suspects evil. He decides to meet with Robert Jennings and look for Damien's biological mother. The couple found that the hospital where Damien had given birth had been demolished following a fire. He and Jennings are attacked by a group of dogs and barely escape.

Bugenhagen tells Robert to check Damien for a three ("666") birthmark. However, Robert refuses to kill his son. When he reaches the bottom to pick up the daggers, Jennings is quickly beheaded with a sign of falling.

Robert arrives home and is attacked by Mrs. Boylock's Rottweiler. In Damien's room, he finds the 666 birthmark.

The Omen (also known as The Omen: 666) is a 2006 American supernatural horror film
